Five Dishes Locals Keep Coming Back For

Five Dishes Locals Keep Coming Back For

When you have been feeding the same neighborhood since 2006, the menu stops being a guess. You learn what people cross the bridge for, what they order twice in one week, and what they bring their out-of-town family to try. These are the five plates our regulars will not let us touch.

First, the Blackened Fish Tacos. Blackened catch of the day, shredded cheese, and house crema. Simple on paper, and the thing half our tables order without opening a menu.

Second, the Grilled Grouper. It comes with grilled veggies and hush puppies, and it is the dish people mean when they say they want real Florida seafood. When grouper is on the board, it rarely makes it to closing time.

Third, the Fried Shrimp. Hand-battered, golden, served with a twice-stuffed potato and creamy coleslaw. This is the plate that turns first-timers into regulars.

Fourth, the Seared Ahi Tuna. Seared rare with seaweed salad and a sweet glaze. It is the order for the person at the table who says they do not do fried food, and it converts everyone who steals a bite.

And fifth, the Strawberry Longboard. People genuinely leave other restaurants and drive over just for dessert. We are not going to argue with that.

All five are on the menu right now. Come try them in person, or order online and see what the fuss is about.
